Nic's Cradle Challenge

Nic's Cradle Challenge - Sheffield to Cradle Mountain and return.

With over 2500m of climbing, this route is jam packed with big hills and iconic scenery including the world renowned Cradle Mountain. Beautiful forests, wild mountains and stunning lakes make this an inspiring yet challenging ride. Its not all down hill when you reach Dove Lake, you will realise that there are still some challenges awaiting you on your way back to Sheffield.

Distance: 126km, Elevation Gain: 2500+ m

There will be a 7.5km Neutral Zone, from the start at Sheffield until the cemetery on Claude Road where Nic Easton is buried. We ride slowly by in respect of Nic, who’s Challenge this is. While in the Neutral Zone, we will ride together at the speed of the slowest rider. Once we have passed the cemetery, you may go at your own pace.

The entire ride is on sealed, well maintained public roads.
